About SearingPolyphony
I’ve always said, ‘there’s something in a name.’ I’ve got a lot of them: Jared, Wingman, Magus, SomedayTrue, bro, J, Homer… and now I’m adding SearingPolyphony to the list.
During a rough patch (still in progress), I got curious about what AI could do with music. I’m a geek at heart, so it made sense to dive into it. Music has always been one of the strongest forces in my life. ‘What I can’t express, I can sing’ has been a go-to phrase of mine for as long as I can remember. But finding the right song? That was always the struggle.
With AI, I’ve been able to take my ‘poetic ramblings’ and turn them into full-blown songs. Between pages of narrative and lines that felt too good to leave behind, AI helped bring it all together. It even took it a step further by providing music and vocal stylings I could actually sing. I can’t take all the credit – if anything, it’s an equal collaboration – but I do get to call it my own.
And more than anything, I get to sing these songs. I get to hear something that captures exactly how I’m feeling, and then sing it. That feeling of contentment and resolve that washes over me? That’s the magic.
Some random notes:
I use Suno.ai to help create the music/vocals.
Yes, I'm debating recording some of the songs myself (Suno.ai even allows you to download just the music track)
The name, SearingPolyphony, was autocreated for me (with a string of numbers at the end) when I created my Suno account. I liked it so much, I kept it.
Some of the songs are incomplete and cut off at the end. This is due to a limitaiton in Suno's creation (it caps at 4 mins). I'll be finalizing those songs when I do post-production (which will come later).
I have a LOT of versions of some of the songs... I'm hoping I uploaded the right versions lol... if not, I'm sure I'll figure it out and correct it.
Why am I doing this? Because I can. Because it makes me feel good. Because "what I can't express, I can sing".
